Practice Velocity provides services over the internet to customers through out the country and is the market leader for Urgent Care software. Our new office is located conveniently right off I-90 in Belvidere, IL. The system is developed using Microsoft .NET framework utilizing ASP, VB, and C# using SQL Server databases which are accessed primarily through stored procedures.

Medical Billing Specialist Developer
- Understand all aspects of medical Billing such as credentialing, claims generation, Electronic remittance processing, etc.
- Work with claims clearing house (Relay Health), insurance companies to debug and resolve issues with EDI data transitions
- Maintain software which generates claims, both paper CMS-1500 and EDI.
- Research EDI formatting and requirement changes that may affect our customers.
- Document requirements and develop design documents
- Identify ways to improve performance and user experience of system
- Participate in architecture design of system
- Able to take ownership of tasks and flow them through to completion
Requirements:
- Working experience as a medical billing specialist, EDI claims processing, or similar industry
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred
- 1 year of experience developing software
