    Suggestions on Microsoft Developer Certifications

I've been tossing around the idea of getting a developer certification from Microsoft. Not sure just yet what would be the best method to get learn what I need to pass the tests (books, practice tests, etc..).  So if anyone has been through this or looked into it in detail, any advice would be helpful.

    For example:

    Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcpd/windev/default.mspx

Looks like I would have to take 3 tests:

Exam 70-526: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Windows-Based Client Development

Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation

Exam 70-548: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework

I've been designing/writing windows applications for my job now for a few months.  The only issue I see so far is that the tests are on a large number of topics, many of which I have not had a use for as of yet.
