    Suggestions on Microsoft Developer Certifications

I've been tossing around the idea of getting a developer certification from Microsoft. Not sure just yet what would be the best method to learn what I need to pass the tests (books, practice tests, etc..).  So if anyone has been through this or you have looked into it in detail, any advice would be helpful.

    For example:

    Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)

    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcpd/windev/default.mspx

Looks like I would have to take 3 tests:

Exam 70-526: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Windows-Based Client Development

Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation

Exam 70-548: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework

I've been designing/writing .net windows applications for my job for a while now.  The only issue I see so far is that the tests are on a large number of topics, many of which I have not had a use for as of yet.
