    Being A Microsoft Guinea Pig

If you were at the September meeting, you probably know about my use of betas, alphas, and CTP's. Well, I have one good reason for that: I rarely have hundreds (and never thousands) of dollars to spend on software, or anything else for that matter. I have used trial software to write programs that actually work. Those programs used both DOM and LINQ to deal with XML. Now I'm planning to tackle .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2, and I'll let you guys and gals know how it goes.

I appreciate the offer of buying Visual Studio 2005. In the meantime, I have Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2. I have written a couple of programs with it. Let me know if you want to see the source code; I used C#, LINQ-to-ADO.NET, and an XML Schema that I converted to a C# DataSet class.
